Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with Business Development Manager, sales team and communicates regularly with producers to assess ongoing needs and identify new sales opportunities.
  2. Creates, updates, and distributes marketing material to staff, clients, and prospective clients.
  3. Creates and/or assists in creating proposals and proposal presentations to new/existing accounts.
  4. Collaborates with internal support staff to ensure presentations and materials maintain consistent organizational image and branding.
  5. Manages social media, website, blogs and prospecting technology platforms.
  6. Develops and maintains a positive relationship and rapport with local and national association and organization partners to identify sales opportunities and referrals.
  7. Coordinates conference registration and scheduling for sales team, including but not limited to:
    1. Registering conference attendees
    2. Preparing conference advertising
    3. Coordinating transportation, lodging, and daily scheduling for attendees
    4. UBA/Prosential/Other locations
  8. Assists Business Development Manager is planning and coordinating the Michigan Society for Human Resource Management's annual conference.
  9. Maintains sales event items on producer outlook calendars.
  10. Plans and coordinates all aspects of monthly and annual sales meetings.
  11. Attends and completes any training sessions or assignments as required and maintains technical insurance knowledge to better promote the use of company services.
  12. Collaborates with external consultants and supports the acquisition/distribution of qualified leads, news/web/PR/media, speaking engagements
  13. Performs other tasks on projects as needed/assigned.
  14. Attends and participates in monthly sales meetings, maintaining agendas and providing all supporting documentation for discussion, note taking, coordinating follow up action and communicating the action plan to the team immediately after.
  15. Attends and participates in staff meetings, informing internal staff of marketing efforts and campaigns.
  16. Monitors and orders logo supplies for conferences and employee meetings.
  17. Projects a professional image at all times representing the organization in a manner consistent with the mission statement, policy statements and objectives.
  18. Performs other administrative tasks as needed/assigned in support of senior management and human resources.

 Job Qualifications

  1. Must have drive, empathy, energy and integrity with the ability to influence and motivate others.  Should have demonstrated effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications.
  2. Preferably higher education related to marketing.
  3. 2 years of experience in a marketing related field preferred.
  4. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
  5. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat a plus.
  6. Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsive and self-motivated.
  7. Team player and task-orientation.
  8. Good communication skills and courteous telephone skills.
  9. Positive Attitude.
  10. Able to travel for work.
